What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you including when you request information or services, become a recipient of services, volunteer, or fill out an application or contact form.
Embedded content from other websites
The Website may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We may collect non-personal information about how users navigate through the Website. We may aggregate this information to improve our site, and we may share this information with outside companies. This aggregated information does not include individual names or personal data, so it does not identify you or any other user.
When you submit personal information to us in connection with making an online donation we use that information to process the donation. We also store your name and contact information in our database of donors. We may use that information to send you further information about our organization or to contact you if necessary.

LHV does not share personally identifiable information with any nonaffiliated third parties, except at your request and with your express permission or in the circumstances described below:

We may also disclose that information when we believe disclosure is appropriate to protect the rights, interests, property or safety of LHV or others.
We will retain your personal data for the duration of the relationship, unless a shorter retention period is required by law or the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which the data was obtained. Once our relationship with you has come to an end, we will retain your personal data for the period of time that enables us to:
- Fulfill our legal obligations, including legal retention periods;
- Investigate or defend legal claims;
- Handle your questions, requests or complaints; and
- Keep our records for analysis and audit purposes.

ALTHOUGH LHV WILL USE REASONABLE EFFORTS TO PROVIDE ALL OF THE FOREGOING SECURITY FEATURES, AND TO TREAT ALL DATA IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POLICIES SET FORTH HEREIN, AS WITH VIRTUALLY ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM, THERE CAN BE NO ABSOLUTE ASSURANCE THAT SECURITY BREACHES WILL NOT OCCUR AND LHV HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY SUCH SECURITY BREACHES.
